My New Obsession

Chocolate Necco wafers. I got some one of the zillion times I was in the hospital and now I have a pack a day habit.

We got them at the hospital gift shop and then couldn't find them around here. The last time I was in the hospital Chris surprised me by buying them out.



John David has taught Chloe to beg for human food, so she's trying to decide if she's into chocolate Necco's. I'm not sharing!

Yeah, I'm Back, Again...

I know I keep doing these "I'm back" posts & then I disappear again. I was in the hospital for a week this time. I can't seem to get any effective pain management at home and the Dr's can't figure out what's causing so much pain. I'm sick of being sick!

On top of that my computer gave up the ghost and lost EVERYTHING that was on it. I know the stuff is still on here somewhere, it's just a matter of finding it!

Flashback Friday

As I said in my last post, my life is very small right now. I don't have much of anything to post, no inspiration, but I really don't want to give up my blogging, so pardon me if I limp along on memes and such for awhile.

This is me in 1983, my junior year in high school.



My hair never looked like that, I couldn't get it to "feather". I have no idea how I got it to look like that for this picture. I'm lovin' the huge glasses!

Um...Hello?

Is anyone still out there?

Dear readers, it's me, Mimi!

Since Chris last updated I spent one more night in the hospital, but I think that was the end of it. I pray that was the end of it. I haven't added up all of the days, but starting from the last week of October I spent 1/2 of November and most of December actually in the hospital with this Gastroparesis.

(Gastroparesis is a condition in which the stomach muscles don't contract to process or "chew up" the food that we eat. Also I have zero appetite and often pain when I do eat.)

I've been away from the blog so long that I feel like I have nothing to say. My life has been very small lately.

My mom is doing very well after her mastectomy. There was a second spot they found in her breast after the surgery, so we're thankful she chose that road instead of a lumectomy. She does not need chemo or radiation.

She sends her truest thanks to all of my readers who sent cards and positive messages. The cards often brought tears to her eyes, that strangers cared enough to think of and pray for her.

I'm going to try to get around and get caught up with all of my bloggy friends.
