Yes, Another Blog

Well I officially have lost my mind and started another blog. I didn't want to bog this blog down with my weight loss journey, so I've started a new blog, Mimi's Losin' It!.

If anyone is interested in following my weight loss, the foods that I eat, some pics & recipes, you can check it out!

O.K. PETA, Now I'm Mad!

Dear People at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,

Now you have pissed me off. I try to be supportive of your wacky ways, while I enjoy my chicken sandwich. I eat meat, buy leather, and eat at KFC occasionally, but overall I supported your anti-fur campaign. I personally would not advocate throwing blood at models on catwalks to get my point across, but hey, that's just me.

But now, you are done in my book!

Photobucket

What about People for the Ethical Treatment of other People. Is this funny to you?

Really though, why am I complaining. It's not like those of us who are overweight suffer from low self esteem to begin with, right? It's not like we have just as many, if not more feelings than those animals you advocate for, right?

Are you getting lots of press for this ad, yes you are. Am I feeding into that, I guess I am, but when you start advocating for animals at the cost of actual people, I say "you suck".

F.U. PETA,

*This is not a joke, it's a real PETA ad!

Lookey What I Got!!

Photobucket

Since I am struggling to still fit into my "fat" clothes, I decided to order some more Nutrisystem & get myself the Wii Fit. My son Jack has a Wii, so now I'm all set.

I am sure I will be a fraction of myself in no time, lol!

Well Butter My Butt, & Call Me A Biscuit

Biscuit Dough Pictures, Images and Photos

Heavens to Betsy! I took a look at myself while I was getting out of the shower this morning & it was not pretty.

Biscuit dough...my body looks like biscuit dough. White, lumpy & pasty. The shapes not quite defined, kinda blobby. Yikes!

I know we women are supposed to strive towards self love, but honestly when most of us catch a long look at ourselves nekkid it is not a joyous occasion.

Sorry if that mental image ruined your lunch. I think mine will be a Nutrisystem meal & some fruit...

I R Tiny Kitteh

The oldest pet here in Mimi-ville is Chloe. Say hello Chloe.

Photobucket

Chloe is fat full-figured. I, myself, happen to be on the plump side. I was very skinny (size 0 or 2) up until I got pregnant for the first time. I am still struggling to lose that baby weight. (Yes it does too, still count even if my first baby is almost 17!)

There is not a day when I do not realize that I am chubby. Chloe on the other hand seems to have no issues with her size. She is quite good at wedging herself into things that are really too small for her.

Photobucket

I hate having my picture taken if I think I will look fat. As you can see, Chloe has no issues exposing her shortcomings, or largecomings as this photo with her belly shows!

Photobucket

She is so unfazed, she just went back to her rigorous schedule of napping.

Photobucket

O.K., cute chubby kitten aside, what is my point, you may be asking...

My point is this. While I realize that Chloe is a cat with the brain the size of a walnut, a lot of us can probably learn something from her. At 41 years old, I can count the number of times I have ever been happy with my body on one hand.

When I was a size 2 who could eat everything in sight with not consequences, I was not happy because I had small boobs & no real curves. I so wanted to have cleavage to show off. When I went up to a size 10, I was apalled at my fatness. Now at a 16 I would gnaw off a couple of toes to go back to a 10 & be sag-free.

Chloe is happy with herself just as she is. She has not wasted years of her life always feeling badly about herself. Maybe we should all try to learn a lesson from Chloe!

Evil In A Tiny Cup...(tiny spoon included)

Today I found this at the grocery store (ignore the NutriSystem food.)

Photobucket

Small & quite cute, don't you think?

Look how small it is in my hand.

Photobucket

See the tiny spoon?

Photobucket

Something this small couldn't possibly be bad for you right?

Haagen Daz also has turned out these tiny sources of evil. The dulce le leche flavor Haagen Daz was too shy to be photographed. (or it was eaten before I could get the camera, whatever)
