Musical Monday

With the passing of John Hughes, I have been hearing lots of great 80's songs from his movies on the radio. If you were in high school in the 80's, or even junior high, you can't hear "Don't You Forget About Me" without flashing back. He picked great songs for his movies and so many of them really represent the 80's.

This song didn't get as much radio play as many others as it wasn't a theme song, butI just love it. It's I Go Crazy, by Flesh For Lulu, off of the Some Kind of Wonderful soundtrack.

I couldn't find the radio version, so skip ahead to about the 1:20 mark if you want to hear the song with out the looong intro that this version has.

Meet Inchie!

Camera Critters

I found this fun little guy on my sunflowers the other day & thought he would make a perfect Camera Critter.

I call him Inchie, becaue I assume he's an inch worm.

Dear Jon & Kate

Dear Jon & Kate,

Jon, let's start with you. It must be great to have won your balls back in the divorce, but that doesn't mean you immediately have to start a skank collection. If we're being honest here I'm not sure hanging out with "father of the year" Michael Lohan is going over too well either.

In a very short period of time you have managed to take yourself from poor-pitiful, verbally-abused by-his-wife Jon, to I-have-zero-common-sense-and-don't-care-what-my-kids-read-about-me-as-long-as-I'm-gettin'-some Jon. And to think all that time the world thought that Kate was the unstable one.

Kate, I haven't forgotten you. By a stroke of luck you managed to get most of the world to forget that you were a screaming shrew for most of the television show, since you're estranged husband is now acting like a high school senior on spring break. I haven't forgotten and your 8 mealtickets kids probably won't either.

By the way, your hair style is not the new "Rachel". You know, the whole laughing at you, not with you thing. When your hair becomes a Halloween costume, it's time to move on.

And to both of you, turn off the cameras, shut the frick up & try to get these kids through this mess you've both made of their lives!

*I have to add that this letter totally came out after reading this post by my friend Jenn at {delightfully.cliche.}

Disparate and Multifarious

Hopefully I'll be back to more regular blogging soon. School is almost out. There's a couple of poems that I wrote for my creative writing class & I'm considering posting them here, but it's hard to share stuff like that for me.

Musical Monday

Hubby & I remembered this song yesterday, played it and started dancing around like fools before church.

Here's the Dream Warriors with Wash Your Face In My Sink, some true 80's ridiculousness.

Well, ridiculous, but fun!

Yogi Ogi Icky!!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much & haven't been visiting all of your blogs. I'm in the last week of 2 accelerated online college classes & it's crunch time.

I saw this today & thought I would share. I do not want to be the only person to have to re-live this video over in my brain. It's one of those things that there just are no words for. I do know I wouldn't let my young child got to Yogi Ogi Farm.

I'm sorry & you're welcome.
