2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
2.5 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
Spread the oats in a shallow baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly brown, stirring occasionally.
Add oats and remaining ingredients to the machine according to manufacturer's directions. If available select the whole grain cycle.

Yummmy,,,,I love oatmeal bread....and used to use my bread machine regularly....thanks for inspiring me to get it back out.
I would definitely like this! I love just about anything "bread". But, alas, I don't own a bread machine. Guess it's time I got one! Hope you have a great day! :)
I just had my bread machine out this weekend to make college boy some to take home. I am definitely trying this!!!
You've inspired me! I haven't made oat bread in forever.
Dropped by from SITS to say hi.
Good Morning! I'm visiting from SITS. Will have to let you know later about the bread. I just put it in the bread machine. Sounds wonderful!
Looks great! Oatmeal bread is my fav! I'm going to have to break down and get a bread machine to try this! Thanks for sharing!
I've never heard of oatmeal bread. It sounds delicious!
That sounds scrumptious! One of my weaknesses is warm bread slathered with butter. Not carb friendly, but delicious!
