Outside My Window... Snow, bare trees & dusk approaching.

I am thinking... About how much I have missed blogging due to my burn.

I am thankful for... My family & friends who are there for me, always.

From the kitchen... A mustard dijon pasta sauce that didn't turn out well due to lack of dijon!


I am wearing... A long sleeved t that says "all who wander are not lost" & fuzzy sweat pants.


I am creating... A sense of peace.

I am going... Nowhere fast.

I am reading... American Wife, by Curtis Sittenfield.

I am hoping... To emerge from my funk.


I am hearing... My beautiful boys watching t.v. upstairs.

Around the house... Christmasing!

One of my favorite things... My husband. He is more than I could have wished for.

Outside My Window... Snow! Big puffy chunks of it!

I am thinking... How much I dread helping JD learn to drive in the snow!


I am thankful for... That my church finally picked a new rectory for our pastor & his wife. They are wonderful people & great friends.


From the kitchen... Meatball sandwiches for dinner.

I am wearing... An old ratty nightshirt. I'm vetoing the day by not getting dressed yet!

I am hoping... For my headache to go away.

I am thinking... About having to take JD to a second funeral in 6 months. This time his favorite teacher & mentor is dead at 45 from brain cancer.

I am thankful for... My health.

I am going... To a funeral.

I am reading... My bible, in chronological order.

I am hoping... To know how to comfort hurting teens.

Outside My Window... Oskar the schnauzer playing in the leaves.

I am thinking... I should have been up way earlier this morning!

I am thankful for... My good fortune. We don't have a lot, but we have enough.

From the kitchen... Nachos, requested by JD.

I am wearing... A t-shirt that says "not all who wander are lost," and sweats. Same as last week! I guess I should change it up a little, but it's so cozy.

I am creating...

I am going... Just to the grocery store.

I am reading... My bible, in chronological order.


I am hoping... That the facelift for this blog is complete by tomorrow. I have a new design coming.

I am hearing... Just the sound of Oskar's waterbowl. It pours water out of the top constantly after filtering it. It's very soothing.

Around the house... Working on a new cross stitch project.

Outside My Window... Beautiful leaves starting to blanket the grass.

I am thinking... I wish they would finish cutting down the tree already! Some neighbors have had chainsaws going since 7 a.m.!

I am thankful for... My warm house as this weather is getting colder and so many people are losing their homes.

From the kitchen... Apple cobbler & pork chops.

I am wearing... A t-shirt that says "not all who wander are lost," and sweats.

A better social network.

I am going... Nowhere, DH's car is in the shop, so he has my van today.

I am reading... One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell.

I am hoping... To ditch this flu that popped up yesterday.

I am hearing... Moe, our tortiseshell cat, snoring. I swear this cat could wake the dead!

Around the house... Putting away lots of laundry. (For the second week in a row!)

I am thinking... Helping my son, JD. He is still morning the loss of a friend who passed 5 months ago.

I am thankful for... My great friends I spent so much time with this weekend.

I am going... To the orthodontist with JD & taking Jack to a Christian therapist later.

Outside My Window... I see about 10 ducks swimming in a pond created by all of the rain this weekend.

I am thinking... About both of my boys being home sick with sore throats & aches.

I am thankful for... My cozy couch.

I am going... To the library to pick up my new books on hold. It's like Christmas!

I am hearing... Jack coughing. John is still sleeping.

One of my favorite things... My boys snuggly & warm from bed, even though they are teenagers.

Outside My Window... Oskar, our miniature schnauzer rolling in the grass. Puppy bliss!
I am thinking...How much I am enjoying this cooler weather. It's 71 degrees & breezy here in my part of Michigan.
I am thankful for...The awesome men in my life. My husband of almost 5 years, Chris, JD who is 16 & Jack 13. Oh yeah & Oskar who is 2 ;-)
From the kitchen...Jack & I are gonna make Hobo stew. Basically anything we can find we throw in a stew pot.
I am wearing...An orange tee & khaki capri's
I am creating...A mess
I am going...We went back to school shopping for clothes. No place else planned.
I am reading...When You Are Engulfed In Flames, by David Sedaris
I am hoping...To make reservations to go camping starting on Wednesday.
I am hearing...Crickets even though it is almost 3:00 p.m.
Around the house...Jack is on the computer & JD is trying out new school outfits.
