Project 365 Week 45

I may be a day late, but I'm determined to get my P365 out there!

Sunday, October 30 - Saturday, November 05, 2011

On Sunday, Chris & I went to the town of Rochester and walked along the river there, did some eating and shopping & I took this picture of the little fountain we came across.

Monday

Here's the bouquet of fall flowers that Chris got me on Sunday.  Aren't they pretty?

Tuesday

Oskar soaking up some fall sunshine.  Don't look at how cluttered my house is in the background!

Wednesday

The roses outside of my treatment facility are still blooming beautifully.

Thursday

A message I'm trying to incorporate into my life.

Friday

Oskar & Chris having a Friday night nap.  A great way to start the weekend.

Saturday

Moe continuing the napping on a handmade quilt.

I finished up my program on Friday & feel hopeful that I can use the tools I learned to better manage my bi-polar :)

Hop over to Sara's blog to see the other P365 participants.

Project 365 - Week 44

Hello P365 friends.  Sorry I've been out of the game for so long.  My bi-polar has gotten worse over the last several weeks and now I'm in a partial day hospital program to learn how to deal with things better.  It's hard, but I'm learning things that will hopefully be helpful for a long time.

This is the image that I came up with to use as my "mantra" of sorts.  I printed them out & put them where I will see them when I'm struggling.

I haven't been taking many pictures, but I put together a sort of catch up post with some from the past weeks.

Monday, 10/10

Oskar displays what the rest of us feel by refusing to leave the bed!

Wednesday, 10/11

Chloe longs to be an outside cat and is obviously jealous of Oskar.  I know he secretly loves her jealousy, lol.

Saturday, 10/12

I caught this bee on a flower & figure this is the last shot like this I'll get this year.

Thursday, 10/13

Oskar showing me his distaste for being woken up with the camera.

Saturday, 10/15

Homecoming for Jack & Alexis.  Isn't she tiny!

Thursday, 10/20

Chloe enjoying her nip toy.  She cracks me up.

Friday, 10/21

Oskar is happy that we got out his "personal space" heater.  How can you resist a schnauzer face.

Monday, 10/24

I took a pic of John David's door for a little contest that some of the pet blogs that I'm involved with are having.  He did this duct-tape treatment to his door about 3 years ago.

Friday, 10/28

BlogPaws - The Day Before

I flew into the BlogPaws conference on Wednesday, a full day before the conference began so I could do some sightseeing.  To read about my trip into DC click over to Pet Blogs United.

Once in the city I headed to the National Museum of American History.  I only got a few shots, because my camera batteries died before I was even half way through.  Of course I packed more batteries, but of course I left them in my hotel room!

Here's the Washington Monument on one side of me,

And the Capitol Building on the other.

At the museum I had a quick lunch & then headed to see all of the exhibits.  My pictures aren't great, but Julia Childs kitchen was so perfect & organized & detailed exactly the way she left it.  I remember growing up and watching her cook from that kitchen on many of her shows.

Here's a Dumbo Ride from a Disney Theme park.  I can't remember if it was Disney World or Disney Land.

Here's the first Kermit the Frog muppet from the Sam & Friends Show.  We all know it morphed into Sesame Street!  I was 2 in 1969 when it started, so I watched it my whole childhood & loved re-watching with my kids.

These were the latest things they had in in the popular entertainment section, Eddie Van Halen's guitar from the 1984 record, one of Tony Hawk's skateboards & that simple copper color bathing suit that lit Farrah Fawcett on fire.  Extra cool points if your dad or brother had that poster hanging up in your home!

Michael Jackson's glove & Edith & Archie Bunker's chairs are pictures that didn't turn out and by the time I got to my favorite part, the inaguration ballgowns of the first ladies, my camera was totally dead.  Perfect blogger timing.....

The rest of my posts about BlogPaws I'll post on Pet Blog's United or Oskar's Blog, so you can check those periodically if you're interested, but I won't bore the rest of you!

Have a great Labor Day evening!

Project 365, Week 34

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

A look at my life un-edited & un-retouched.

Sunday, August 14 - Saturday, August 20

This is a pretty boring week!  All animal related shots that I was able to take while I was running around this week.  I didn't even get any shots of my boys this week.  Being teenagers either they are always gone, or not wanting their picture taken.

Sunday:

Chloe, my full figured cat.

Monday:

Iams sent me a bunch of auction items for the animal charity group I work with Paws of Peace and out Crossed Paws auction.  We're currently raising funds to cover the surgery expenses of some great pugs.  There's jewelery, home items & pet items, so click over to the auction and take a look around.

Tuesday:

This is from my Cute Overload calender, but I love the freckles on this pup's nose!
Wednesday:

Moe sleeping.  I think the paw over her face makes it looks like she has such a tough life!

Thursday:

Oskar saying hello.

Friday:

It's not a very good picture, but this huge bird was sitting on our fence.  It might be watching for the little bunnies that live in our yard.

Saturday:

Oskar & Chloe found rat TV fascinating!

Friday 8/5
The marina outside of my hotel window in San Diego for BlogHer.  It was a great conference, but my cell phone died, so I couldn't reach my blogging friend, Blue Violet, to meet up in real life :(

 Saturday 8/6
The amazing creme brulee that I had for dessert.  It was to die for!

Sunday 8/7 - I spent the whole day flying & running for planes.  No pics.

Project 365 - Week 23

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

Sunday, May 29 through Saturday, June 4
Sunday:
Chris & Oskar were hanging outside in the gorgeous chairs my dad made for us.
Monday:
My mom called me Monday morning & said her friend was getting rid of a leather couch a recliner.  Our furniture was literally shredded, torn & held together with duct tape.  We were thrilled to spend the day off picking up some decent furniture.  John David & Chris are relaxing after wrestling furniture for hours in the heat.
Tuesday:
Oskar has a new favorite spot on a footstool that came with the furniture.  It's perfect for watching out the window.  You can see the remnants of our old couch by the curb.  Bye-bye horrible, frat house, furniture!
Wednesday & Thursday, no pics.

Friday:
One of the few roses that has bloomed so far with all this rain.  It's about a day past it's best.  Sounds like me, lol!

Saturday:
Oskar & Chris in a pillow pile.

Stop on over to Sara's blog to check out all the other 365 participants.  It's not too late to join in!
