An Affair of The Couch

Hello Mimi Fans!

I am thrilled to be guest posting for a blogger that cracks.me.up.

Mimi has been part of SITS for quite sometime, so we have always been friendly.

But, in a moment of decor bliss, we fell in deep bloggy love.

See, I love decor. I love seeing what people do to make their homes and extension of themselves. If you put up a picture of your adorable child, you can bet I'm sneaking a peek in the background.

Apparently, Mimi does too.

A few weeks ago, I posted this picture in regards to Spring:

Mimi left me this comment: "The plants are cute, but I am considering leaving my husband and marrying you for those couches!!!!"

And, with that I knew Mimi was so my people.

So, I thought I'd share a bit more of my Spring decor!

A great way to get ready for Spring is to paint. I decided our master bedroom was in needed of some new bling. I am a HUGE fan of vinyl lettering and designs, as here in SoCal, we can't put anything over our beds that could fall. I saw this chandelier and fell head over heels. The paint color is "contemplation" and it's the perfect shade of blue/grey with a tiny hint of green.

My bedroom is now incredible relaxing and apparently very wrinkled, but whatev.

Now, on to the family room.

Have you seen Wal Mart's new Better Homes & Garden line? I fell in love with these plaid drapes. And, I am a big fan of the letter R- I have picked those up from various places: Home Goods, Anthropology, etc.
The classic iron piece? Hobby Lobby. Sigh. How I miss Hobby Lobby.

And, to really be fabulous this Spring. You must have one of these:

A big thank you to Mimi for having me!

I love the bedroom. I love your decor. Your house could be in Southern Living or any other home magazine. Martha Stewart should be eating her heart out!

Seriously, have you been featured in Better Homes and Gardens? Because you should be - or whatever other beautiful home magazines there are.

Seriously, I don't think my mind could imagine a house that fabulous! I always feel like mine is just put together - a step above dorm room-worthy. :S

But I adore the chandelier; that's awesome!

Love this post...I could look at pictures of people's homes all day, every day...(and of course as a Realtor I've looked inside of homes all day, every day too). I wonder if Gs on the mantle would have the same touch? The R just looks good, don't you think!

Darn it. I forgot to stuff the dog in my purse to steal on Saturday.

At least you actually made your bed for the picture though right? It's a start.

I thought you were gonna put up "This Is Where The Magic Happens" in vinyl lettering over your bed??
