Project 365 ~ Week 2

This is my first year of participating in Project 365 with my awesome bloggy friend Sara from Make Music From You Heart To The Lord

This is what Sara says about Project 365:
I am attempting to take one photograph each day of this next year. My hope is to be able to slow down and see the small things, become a better photographer and to be reminded of the many blessings God sends my way!

January 2, 2011 ~ January 8, 2011

My pretty bible!  After leaving our church this past spring, we went to a different church with our next door neighbors today.  We really liked the church and will be going back soon.  I'm hoping that this year is the year that my pretty bible turns into my well worn, marked up, lovingly used, pretty bible :-)

Sunday
Time for our Christmas cards to come down.  I just love this one of Ginger Jasper, one of Oskar's blogging buddies.  Yes, for those of you who are new around here, my miniature schnauzer Oskar has a blog & the pet blogs did a huge Christmas card exchange.  Chris & I got about one card for every 4 that my dog got!

Monday
Oskar dealing with the Michigan winter!

Tuesday
I had some left over frozen phyllo dough, so I filled it with apples, brown sugar & butter.  It was a really tasty experiment.

Wednesday
Me in the hospital from my gastorparesis.  I came home later that day and in the evening my mother-in-law fell and broke her hip.  Not our best day.

Thursday

My 15 year old son Jack loves him some hats!  He even has a formal top-hat!  I just picked him up this new one today & he's gonna love it.

Friday
Chris has been sick for 3 weeks with a cold.  Here he is in one of his rare moments of relaxation.

Saturday
It is not too late to start playing along, so hop on over to Sara's blog & check it out!

I love that hat! If I was still training, I would *so* be wearing that hat while doing my roadwork :).

Enjoying reading through your past entries and also looking forward to getting to know you this year as well!

Our little dog practically lays on the heater!

My eight year old is really getting into hats too, must be a boy thing! I really like that hat you got for your son. It's pretty unique.

Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog. And about sponsoring a child, if you can afford it, do it! It's so worth it and a lot of fun to exchange letters and watch them grow.

I love your fur-baby knows to stick close to the heater! No fool there!

Your Bible is so pretty... I love a pretty Bible... but also love a worn out, torn up covered Bible! ;)

Boo - Thursday was a horrible day! No more of those, thank you!

I love anything "apple" so that just makes me crave some apple pie now!

Hope Chris is feeling better... I keep hearing so many people talking about colds that are just hanging on & not leaving... another BOO!

Cracks me up that your dog got more cards than you :)
Hope both you and Chris are feeling better soon!
Crazy cute hat -- even though I don't wear hats, I'd be tempted by that one!
Have a great week!

I LOVE YOUR BIBLE! It was my favorite picture. I am glad Chris is feeling better, and that hat was precious...I would be tempted to wear that one myself...it was just darling. In Gatlinburg a couple of weeks ago...there were caps like those...that looked like those sock monkey's of long ago. BTW...the apple/phylo dough looked quite tasty. I love apples anyway you can put them out there pretty much. Have a great week of photographing. I am glad we are both doing this...it is fun. XOXO to you my friend, K

Ooh - I love your Bible! It's obviously been a long time since I looked at new ones - I didn't even know they had ones that pretty.

Oskar is so cute! We'd be fighting each other over prime space heater positioning if we lived together :)

That apple experiment looks YUMMY!

Hope your MIL is doing ok with her hip.

What a smart poochie!! Ours have sleepers that they've pretty much been living in here lately! It's not supposed to be this cold in Southeastern North Carolina!!
My lil man is 12, he hasn't gotten into the hat craze yet, but he did just get a mohawk! He's trying to emulate our youth pastor!
I hope you and your husband both get better soon!

I need to get a heater like your Oskar has! It's cold here! I hope your new church is just what you needed. I thought I liked one here too but then they got a new pastor and I can't deal with it. Time to start searching again. :(

Yay! Welcome to P365! That phyllo dough creation looks delicious! I "feel your pain" having to be in the hospital for stomach yucks. I was diagnosed with ground disease 11 years ago. No fun. Good to meet you! :-)
