Hooray!
I got both of these things in the mail today & they really made me feel proud. I didn't think I'd care when I got my actual diploma, but I was really excited. It took most of the sting out of the commencement ceremony.
Yay, me!
Yay, me!

Musical Monday
Michael Jackson passed this week. No matter what you may think about him, he was an amazing artist. This is my favorite MJ song. The video was shot with his then wife Lisa Marie Presley. Many people thought that marriage was a sham, but Lisa Marie's heartfelt words after his passing make me believe she truly loved him.
This is You Are Not Alone.
My Chloe
Most of you know my doggie Oskar. I also have 2 kittens (they are full grown cats, but I will always call them kittens). Chloe wanted to make herself known today.
Chloe needs to be noticed, always.
She's settling in, but she's in my way.
Now she's just trying to fit in & not be noticed cause I'm about to kick her out of my way.
Everyone needs some kitten love in their day!

Wordful Wednesday!
Hi folks, sorry for the little break in the action there. Someone here in Mimiville (who's name begins with Mimi) needed to get her head screwed on straight! A couple health issues, a couple of lifes curveballs, you know the drill!
I wanted to show off how surrounded I am by flowers right now! My fantabulous husband picks them out of the garden almost every day so I can be surrounded by beauty. He knows it brightens my mood!
Here's some lillies from out front, we have tons of them. I know their common, but they're so pretty & cheerful. (Chloe had to check them out!)
Here's some roses. The first one is in my computer corner where I spend most of my day. It has some of my favorite things like Chococat, my tassle from graduation & a super cute necklace that my blog friend Jenn sent me.
These roses are almost done, but I like the crumpled look they get at the end.
And finally some yellow flowers JD got me from the store. He was running to pick up a few things & I off handedly said "get me a surprise" & he actually did! Sweet boy.
Having all of these flower around me reall does make me feel happier. I hate it when mid summer comes & I don't have very much to choose from!
Stop by 7 Clown Circus for more fun!

Thank You
I can't say thank you enough for all of your congrats & support. I was in a funk for a few days, but I'm pulling out of it now.
I'm not thrilled with the way I look in these pics, but I'm proud of them anyway!
We didn't get out dipolmas. We got a scroll. Inside the scroll...a picture of a scroll, lol.
Here's the video.
Thanks again for all of your love & support.

Pomp, Circumstance & Disaster
Well I don't know where to start. Saturday, my graduation day, started out wonderfully. Chris got up before me, picked me some roses, with a beautiful card & put together a page of bible verses that pertained to me & my future. He made me breakfast & even picked out an outfit to wear, since I hadn't done that yet.
Lunch at my mom's went fine & Chris brought me a dozen yellow roses. Then we were on to the church where the commencement was held. After being nervous I was lined up with a nice guy why chatted with me so I forgot to be anxious.
Just as I was waiting to get my scroll (they didn't give out the actual diplomas) I even felt excited & proud. All the negativity I had been feeling for the past couple of days was gone & I was just excited to get to my friends & family.
After the ceremony I went right to find my family. Apparantly Jack, my almost 14 year old, had gotten up in the middle of the ceremony to use the restroom & instead of going down the side aisle, he walked right in front of the stage (and the walking graduates) and down the center aisle. Somehow I didn't see him, but it was a big faux pas. He was scolded by Chris & my parents & was embarassed & sorry.
After the ceremony Chris went up to his big boss (Chris works at the college I graduated from) the president of the college & apologized for Jack. I went up & said I didn't see it but that Jack was sorry. Well Mr. Big Boss went on to call Jack up to where we were, pointed his finger in his face & actually yelled at him about how disrespectful he was, and how rude he was. I was way too stunned to even respond.
We apologized to Jack, but he felt like Chris was taking his boss' side over his. It turned into a huge yelling match between my sons & my husband. John David even stood up for Jack (which he never does) and ended up cursing at Chris & saying things that were hurtful, out of anger. This was in the van on the way home & I just cried & tried to get them all to stop.
Chris & Jack worked it out once we got home, but there are a lot of hurt feelings on all parts & I just feel torn up that the ones that I love most had a fight like this, which has never happened. It just feels like theres a big lumpy bruise in the middle of my family.
I wrote to the president of the college and let him know that he was out of line & ruined my graduation day. He wrote back & apologized profusely.
That's the story of my big day. Maybe tomorrow when I'm feeling better I'll post some pics of the graduation and all the lovely flowers. Besides the roses Chris got me my parents got me a lovely sunflower plant. I hope in time I can look back on my graduation with happiness, but the memory of the whole day just has a huge black cloud over it.

Pomp, Circumstance & Anxiety
Well tomorrow is a big day for me. It's my commencement ceremony. I'll be graduating with my Associates Degree in Allied Health Technology. As many of you may know I suffer from social anxiety disorder, so long ceremony, sitting with strangers has made me a wreck. Full blown panic attacks for the last 2 days. *sigh*
My parents are hosting a dinner beforehand and my in-laws, & our friends - ourPastor & his wife will be there also. I'm not sure why I decided to "walk", except I think it's important for my teenage boys to see me take that walk & finish this properly.
Prayers & good wishes are appreciated! Hopefully I'll be back to my bloggy self & back to visiting all of your blogs, soon.

A Band-Aid
Well my Best Buy Geek Squad guy got my computer back to me without having to send it away, but he called it a "temporary reprieve", meaning at some point my baby's going to have to go to the hospital without me. For possibly up to a month. I'm afraid that I didn't realize my full addiction to reading blogs until this happened. The first step is recognizing that you have a problem, but I have no intention of seeking help for this particular malady.
Now I need your opinions on another subject. I live across from what we call the meadow. It's a large piece of property about 2 blocks long that has no houses, just grass & trees. Some wonderful family has gotten their 4 small children a dirt bike. These children ride this dirt bike non-stop. On Saturday they took turns riding it for over 12 hours. Here's a some video I took.
Besides being annoying, having these kids riding this dirt bike is illegal. Having them do it for hours on end is unbearable. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the un-cool neighbor & call the police. They're breaking the law, destroying the grass in the meadow & loosening my already shaky grasp on sanity!
What you you do?
