O.K. PETA, Now I'm Mad!

Dear People at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,

Now you have pissed me off. I try to be supportive of your wacky ways, while I enjoy my chicken sandwich. I eat meat, buy leather, and eat at KFC occasionally, but overall I supported your anti-fur campaign. I personally would not advocate throwing blood at models on catwalks to get my point across, but hey, that's just me.

But now, you are done in my book!

What about People for the Ethical Treatment of other People. Is this funny to you?

Really though, why am I complaining. It's not like those of us who are overweight suffer from low self esteem to begin with, right? It's not like we have just as many, if not more feelings than those animals you advocate for, right?

Are you getting lots of press for this ad, yes you are. Am I feeding into that, I guess I am, but when you start advocating for animals at the cost of actual people, I say "you suck".

F.U. PETA,

*This is not a joke, it's a real PETA ad!

How can they justify that??? That's horrible! So everyone for PETA is thin & has no weight issues? Come on now... go get em girl! I totally agree with you!

I get it. I get that PETA wants to get people's attention and wants to draw it to the unethical treatment of animals. But really? Degrading humans is not a good way to do that. Neither is trying to re-name fish "sea-kittens" or whatever that stupid thing was. I don't understand why they need to use negativity to try and force change on people.

Seriously?! This just low down and disgusting! I couldn't agree with you more!

I think they are using cheap ads with stupid ideas. Cheap is supposed to be good as far as it does not hurt anyone. I have so many loved one's who are a bit overweight. This is not fair. I agree with u completely. They insult human beings to save whales!!!! I don't get them. As u said, 'they suck',no doubt...

...and Thank you for dropping by. Keep reading.

PETA would be happy if all the people were gone so the animals could roam the planet untouched.
PETA is a joke, and yes that ad is horrible.
Thanks for coming by my blog, by the way.

Crazy! I hadn't seen the ad or heard about the campaign.
Additionally, it's false advertising to say that you'll lose fat by not eating meat. (I'm a vegetarian (have been since I was 8) and I'm overweight.)

I have NEVER liked or respected Peta. This just makes it worse!!

And I would love to have a fur coat. It's on my life's list!

Wow. I guess those people will go to any length to get their point across.

I think that the original PETA, the ones who want to stop the cruelity of animals, due to poor animal farming and the mistreatment of animals was a good idea. In theory. But then you have a bunch of boozo clowns up in there taking it to far reaches of reality.

I'm guessin since they didn't make there point in scaring kids with hate clowns, they thought they'd go bigger. What asswipes!

Wow- I cannot believe that!

I was vegetarian for 6 years, but I hate PETA. Animals are not people too-and PEOPLE are what really matter!

Well said Mimi!

And, really, they should NOT be using my picture in their advertisements. :)

yep, those folks are bonkers. i think it might have started out well, but it's turned into a disaster!!!

PETA - people eating tasty animals

Do you think they expected anyone to applaud that ad? It's super offensive, and it's a shame that they go to such extremes. It takes the focus off of the real causes behind vegetarianism that are worth talking about like factory farming, animal treatment, etc.
I'm a vegetarian, but would never look at this ad and be proud of it.
good post!
