Musical Monday

Photobucket

For today's MM song I chose possible the saddest song I know.  The first line, "She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette", I think is pure genius & when it comes to the chorus watch out!  "He put that bottle to his head & pulled the trigger."  It gets me with goosebumps every time.

Here is Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss.

Play along and see what everyone else is up to on this Musical Monday at Bloggin With Amanda or Run DMT.

Alison Krause has always been a fave of mine. I saw here before she became big at a small hole in the wall joint in Atlanta, Ga when I was just a kid. It was one of the first "concerts" I had ever seen. She was even kind enough after the show to autograph MY fiddle. It's still one of my most prized possessions!

Wow - that is a sad tune.. I love their harmonies. Although this isn't my "style" of music at all, I can appreciate great lyrics and beautiful voices in any genre.

Happy Music Monday! I'm here from Run DMT!
