Stranded

Hello friends,

I am very sorry to say that my uncle passed away late Tuesday evening.  We were able to say goodbye, but the loss is felt deeply.

On our way to Missouri, my dad's 2010 Acadia broke down & we had to leave it in a small town in Illinois, then take a loaner on to St. Louis.  We are back in Illinois and our car is still not fixed, in fact they have not even received the part yet.  I have no idea how it could possibly take a dealership almost a week to get a part for a one year old car.  If the part comes in today then we should be able to leave tomorrow, otherwise it will be Monday at the earliest.

Sorry to be gone so long, I hope to be able to get home to my family as soon as possible.  This trip has taken a lot out of my father and me emotionally, and the added stress of not being able to get home is not helping, as I'm sure you can imagine. I appreciate all of your love and support and hope to be back to my family and my blogging soon.

I am sorry to hear of your uncle's passing.

I would never imagine that getting the part for the year old vehicle would take so long; hope all is fixed soon & you will be home before you know it.

It seems like bad news following horrible news...just when you have had a rough time, more piles on. I am sorry to hear that...and it certainly takes a strong spirit to get through everything. On the car side...I can't believe the aggro you are having. One would think in this day and age, car parts are readily available and garages have learned how important it is to have a satisfied customer.

I'm really sorry for all your troubles! We're in Illinois if you'd happen to need some kind of help. I hope you get home soon, I know there's no place like it, especially after a stressful event like a funeral!

So sorry you lost your uncle. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. The added strain of the car is certainly not helping. May you be home soon. Love Sara

I'm so sorry about your loss. And about you and your father not being able to get home. Shit happens (pardon my French) and it sometimes happens all at the same time. Hang in there honey ;-)

So sorry for the loss of your dear Uncle. Although it's never easy to lose someone you love, it's good that you and your dad had the opportunity to say your farewells.

I'll be saying a little extra prayer that your car gets fixed ASAP so you can get home to your family. I'm sure it's very difficult right now to be away from hubs and the boys.

Be strong and be well my friend. I hope you're tummy's not giving you any added trouble.

Blessings and Peace,
~Mrs B
