I love to make soup. It's like therapy for me. I make some really good ones too. Potato with ham & bacon, 15 bean, roasted tomato.
A few days ago I made a nice minestrone. Lots of veggies, some beans, pork & pasta. Since my fridge is full (even though we have "nothing to eat" according to my teen boys") I put my pot of soup on the back patio. It was about 35 degrees, so it was great.
Then the cold snap came to town...today it's in the negative degrees without the windchill factor. We also got some drizzly snow. Now my soup sits right outside my sliding glass door, mocking me. It looks like this.
It's frozen in place really, really well & covered over with thick ice. At least it's frozen so I can eat it once I can get it out!

BBAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAA! Sorry to laugh, but it is so stinkin cold outside today. Sure would be nice to have a nice bowl of hot soup. LOL I taunt you. I love that episode though. Crackin me up!
LMAO sorry I can't help it, but then again I'm in the same boat - we're still at -19 with the wind chill this morning, but the say we'll get to 3! YIPEE
OK - are you making that up?? Not to question you or anything . . . Soup would be really good today - we aren't as cold as you, but any type of chill in the air and you might as well call it freezing to me - I hate cold weather!!
That is too funny! Thanks for the laugh my friend! I was thinking about you guys this morning. It was 17 degrees outside this morning. I thought we were going to freeze. But I know it's probably not nearly as cold as wher you guys are!
It was O when I woke up this morning. This is so funny. I think if I left soup outside the squirrels would get into it! Hope you can get it unstuck so you can eat some and warm up!! Came over to say Hi from SITS, you were the comment above me this morning.
Dontcha just love the second "freezer"??? Right about now I'd give up my additional freezer in a heartbeat. This morning it was 5 when I got up.
Already I'm in the "I can't wait for Spring" mode
Hope you can enjoy your new batch of soup soon. Stay warm
frozen soup!
i LOVE homemade soup! but i don't know how to make it.
That is funny! It's nothing a blowtorch couldn't fix! :)
Compared to your weather, mine is downright balmy! I think today got into the 60's.
HAHAHA! Too funny. I'd take your additional freezer if I could. This northern girl who lives in the south is suffering from the lack of winter :0/
So what day can I pencil you in to make me some homemade soup?!?!??!
That's so funny! Your place looks very much like mine. Dang MI is cold!
Oh yeah, I finally responded to a tag you sent me...here It only took me a month!
OMG!!! Thats just plain crazy!
Mimi: That is so funny. The weather did change quickly and that soup might mock you for a while before releasing from the floor.
I am sooooooo ready for winter to be over!
